Hi! I’m Sophie, and I am the owner and sole teacher at Feathersteps School Of Dance. I have over 30 years of dance experience behind me, turning Professional in 2014.
Winning my first National competition at the age of 4, I went on to achieve many excellent results in Ballroom & Latin, as well as Freestyle Disco and Rock’n’Roll, becoming a Champion by the age of 15.
Being a regular finalist in National competitions, I had the honour of dancing in the incredible Wintergardens and Tower Ballroom in Blackpool on many occasion, and return to Blackpool often to dance Salsa at The Tower.
I studied IDTA Amateur Medals into my teens to a very high level, which has given me an excellent understanding in all aspects of Competitive & Social dance technique.
I am currently an IDTA Professional Teacher at Fellowship Level. I strive to improve and achieve good results, which shows in the clean sweep of Distinctions for Ballroom & Latin in all IDTA Modules.
